Capabilities - Telecom and Network Infrastructure

Copper Structured Cabling.

Our expertise extends across all structured cabling standards – Category 5e, 6, 6a and Category 7, in both an internal and external environment. We are certified system designers and approved installers for Brand-Rex, Nexans and Hellerman-Tyton. This means all our work is covered by the manufacturer’s materials warranty as well as our own warranty for workmanship and system performance. Our case studies and client list attest to the scale, complexity and quality standards that our cabling solutions have to achieve, each of our installation projects being supported by full compliance testing to system performance and technical standards.

Singlemode and Multimode Fibre.

We are skilled in the design, installation and conformance testing of multi-mode fibre systems (OM1, OM2, OM3 and OM4) and single-mode (OS1 and OS2) in both internal and external environments, including campus, new build construction sites and rail trackside. We install and joint using fusion splicing methods and test and certify using both light-source power meter and OTDR analysis.

Multicore Copper and Signalling.

We install, test and commission multicore copper cabling in internal buildings, communications centres and external environments. We can bulk-haul and bulk-terminate or joint any number of cores (e.g. 500 pair) over any distance (e.g. 5km) for any application (voice, data, audio visual or signalling).

Corporate Data Centres.

We design, manage and commission data centre cabling solutions comprising Category 6a (10gb) and fibre (Gig/e) infrastructure between routers, switches and servers. We man-handle and install the metalwork of cabinets and cable containment, the latter using both overhead wire-trays and under-floor galvanised trunking or in self-contained bundles laid on protective matting.

Telecoms Switch Exchanges.

We have installed and tested the bulk cabling infrastructure and associated cabinets (metalwork) for copper (MSAN) and fibre (FSAN) exchange equipment, terminating, patching and connecting into both copper main distribution frames (MDF) and optical distribution frames (ODF). We have taken responsibility for calculating the power requirements for each cabinet given the active equipment to be installed, installed power and handed over the live installation to the customer for the next trade in the installation schedule to commission the active equipment.

Mobile Base Stations.

As a variation to the work we performed in Switch Exchanges we have undertaken the exact same cabling and cabinet work in mobile base stations but with the added tasks of integrating the incoming leased circuits (copper, fibre or co-ax) or microwave terminations, installing the active equipment into cabinets, and producing a fully installed, cabled and patched solution for commissioning of the active equipment.

Multi-skilled and experienced across the telecoms and network infrastructure.
